In the olden days, Agate was used to protect against storms and lightning and also children were protected by Agate from danger specially to prevent them from falling while were playing. There are even stories that tell us that Persian magicians used its properties to deflect unwanted storms.
In ancient times, the Moss Agate was used as a talisman by gardeners and farmers to grow plants, and by the public as a stone for increasing wealth, good luck and longevity. It was also said that if someone placed this gem somewhere, no witch can enter that place!
